But that won't stop me from pretending.

I have five cats back home with my parents. Taylor's allergic, so when we moved I secretly adopted "Pretty" as my own.

She's part Siamese, and usually dusty from adventures. She has icy blue eyes and the most friendly personality.

Taylor calls her "Monster" but secretly he likes her.

Fun fact, I recently found out her real name is actually Bayli.
(but she'll always be Pretty to me)

Something else to note is my brand new lens!

My Dad's friend Lan made just about my whole month when I went up to his house to drool over his Nikon collection.
He goes, "Oh, hey, I'm sorry I couldn't make it to your reception, but I wanted to give you this" as he places... in my gracious hands... a Nikon 105mm f2.8 Macro lens.

Paper Bag

First off, I just have to say...
Lexi is an incredibly great model to work with.

I constructed her dress out of Harmon's paper bags, twine, and staples.
Her super-cute cousin also sported one, and they rocked it.

Just eat these right up.
(I know I did!)

Hot Air Balloons

A couple weeks ago I was clipping coupons from the Sunday paper and I came across a flyer for the Sandy City Hot Air Balloon Festival.

Immediately I informed Taylor we were going.

My very best friend spent all summer at camp this year. It turns out that aside from generating some serious cash, she also generated a serious boyfriend.

Here's what's up.

My kid brother

This is Xander. He's Taylor's 4-year old brother. He's obsessed with mario, loves riding his bike, and sleeps on a little bed next to the giant one his invisible friend Guy sleeps on. He loves all video games, longs for the day he'll have his own ipad, and has a deep undying love for great great pony.

He walked with me to my car on Monday to get the ipad. The sun was amazing and my camera was in the backseat.

"Hey Xander, can I take a few pictures of ya real quick?"
"Okay. And then I can play on Taylor's ipad?"
"Yep, that's the plan; smile for me!"

Here's what I captured before he got too antsy. Enjoy!

I shot some photos of Connor and Geoff for two reasons. First was to commemorate their contribution to my someday coffee table book containing short poems and power-packed pictures of high contrast facial hair... and the second reason I don't recall. Enjoy!
